everyone has their own opinion on this one, and everyone was quick to let everyone know too. the game came out late sunday but most weren’t able to play it till sometime monday- I guess thats what happens when you have millions of people trying to download a 1+ gig file at the same time.

I must have missed the rush because mine downloaded much faster but thats not what I’m here to talk about…

the game is simply amazing, you’ll have a difficult time finding someone saying otherwise. it is a FPS/role playing game. luckily it does bring some new things to FPS genre.

the graphics though.. this is what has everyone shitting their pants. the game looks better than GoW, hell it looks better than any other game I’ve seen. these are real time in game rendered graphics, not pre-rendered. I have seen some amazing stuff on the PS3 but a lot of its pre-rendered, which I have no problem with but its a different experience when you know its all being done while your playing.

and example of this amazingness is the opening scene- your in a plane crash and end up in a lake or some large body of water. there is fire everywhere around you and you just look around and swim in place. it took me a minute or so to realize this wasn’t a cut scene, it was actually a part of the game and I had to swim to land. the water effects are the best I’ve ever seen- they’ve really mastered this shit. what shocked me was the fact that the environment looked so damn good there was no way this could be real time graphics.

the demo was very short and left you thirsting for more, there isn’t a whole lot to say about it right now. if you have xbox live I suggest trying it out for yourself.

I went to game stop and payed off my pre-order for the game. apparently I had already put money down on it months ago.. like 6 months or maybe more lol. I’ve been looking forward to this game for some time.
