hanging out at home, enjoying doing much of nothing and of course with the tv on. I just caught an old episode of Made. it was some hot rich chick who wanted to become a freestyle bmx rider. she was really into the sport but I thought no fucking way she could ever do this.

I don’t really want to write an entire review of the episode so I’ll jump right to the climax, she ends up becoming a pretty good rider and at the end actually lands a back flip off a ramp in a bmx competition.

it was one of the best Mades I’ve seen and should be pretty inspiration to some people interested in getting into the sport.

this comes from someone who as a kid taught themselves how to ride a bike and rode bmx for years. as well as riding street and freestyle. taking falls on a bike is no fun and hurts a hell of a lot more than a fall off a skate board. there’s rarely an opportunity where you can bail out on a bmx, you can tuck and roll like you can flying off a skate board. most times you’ll catch a handle bar in the ribs, your pedals will tear the shit out of your legs, you’ll hurt your cock. its rough haha.

one of the things I thought was so cool about this chick was she took some gnarly falls and kept going. and that’s the only reason she was successful- you can’t do this sport if your afraid of getting sport, that’s one thing that will really hold you back. hell it might be sale to say it’s the biggest or only thing that will hold you back. not just in bmx but in any extreme sport.
