well today was payday and with the insulting raise I received it wasn’t all that bad but some how just about everything I owe on is somehow due before my next pay check! this is awful because rent is due this week too.

If I could offer any one kid a piece of advice it would be this- stay away from credit cards at all costs! lines or credit, loans, whatever! anything that carries and interest rate say the fuck away from it.

It’s really funny that I say this now because I was one of those people that are like oh that won’t happen to me, I’m to smart for that shit, I’m careful blah blah blah. well let me tell you- you don’t know what’s happened until its to late. now if you choose not to listen to me on this at least do yourself a favor and pay your shit ahead of time and pay more than the minimum payment. I can’t stress this enough. there was never a time that I didn’t have the money to make a credit card payment but there has been times that I’ve spaced it out completely and been late. it doesn’t matter if its five minutes or five days, when your late on a credit card for the first time your fucked. you’ll usually see your interest rate double right when that happens. thats exactly what’s happened to me. right now I’m paying on a card that I used for tons of stuff lol.. well I make 100+ dollar payments every months but my interest rate is so fucked up that only about half of that actually goes toward paying off my balance. to me that is no different than holding a 50 dollar bill in front of your face and burning it.

I suppose it had to happen for me to get a handle on it all though. I’m now a lot more careful with my spending. with a credit card it’s nice to use it and have something big and nice right there that moment but in the long run its not really worth it. I’m currently trying to do some things to my truck, wheels and tires alone are going to run me at least eleven hundred bucks- I could have easily said meh.. charge it! but I’ve just been putting cash away when I can so I can pay it in full when I have it in hand.

well its friday and I’m going to try not to be late today so I better leave right now…
