Rant!

a one story nation

ugh… I hate how the media will milk the shit out of every story. for a week and a half all we heard about was Imus, and now this shit at VT tech. I certainly sympathize with their loss but I don’t care about all the stupid side stories they want to run that barely relate to the topic.

one thing thats pissing me off is how they’re trying to ‘figure’ this person out. excuse me stupid, but why? “so we can prevent this sort of thing from happening in the future”. give me a fucking break. I could easily point out a dozen people on their last nerve. Theres thousands of depressed people, many disturbed enough to comit such acts. Some are meditated some are not. Fact is you can’t prevent something like this from happening, sorry but its just not going to happen. Not unless you figure out a way to monitor what everyone is thinking- but until then your wasting your fucking time.

What so hard to understand about this guy. He fucked up pretty bad but some people are just programmed like that, don’t try to point the blame at the school or gun makers/laws. Hes just a dumb kid. Over seas we have fuckers blowing themselves every day, doing the exact same thing (perhaps for a different reason) but they’re still killing inocent people. Why are we not trying to figure them out.

the news pisses me off. the whole Don Imus thing last week really pissed me off too,. a guy lost his job for jokingly insulting someone- lost his job for hurting someones fucking feelings. and the media made such a huge deal of this shit. now I bet if mr Imus made the same comment the same day as this shooting or even the day afterwards no one would blink twice.

a lot of the people who steped up and called for his firing were some of the biggest hypocrites. most of them had done/said something in their past that was a lot of offensive than anything this man said. *sigh*

I guess I should just change the channel.
